July 5, 2023 –As the anticipation builds for the 93rd edition of Major League Baseball’s Midsummer Classic, MLB Network is set to provide five days of live on-site coverage from Seattle beginning this Friday, July 7. The Emmy Award-winning MLB Tonight_, _Intentional Talk_, _All-Star Media Day_, the _All-Star Red Carpet Show_, the _2023 MLB Draft and the inaugural HBCU Swingman Classic are among MLB Network’s All-Star programming highlights.
Originating from Seattle, 2017 All-Star Yonder Alonso, A.J. Andrews, Greg Amsinger, two-time All-Star Ryan Dempster, Robert Flores, Lauren Gardner, Hall of Famer and eight-time All-Star Pedro Martínez, Kevin Millar, Melanie Newman, Dan O’Dowd, 11-time All-Star Albert Pujols, two-time Seattle Mariners All-Star Harold Reynolds, Siera Santos, Xavier Sruggs, Adnan Virk and 2010 All-Star Chris Young will contribute to MLB Network’s extensive programming.

Friday, July 7:
Inaugural HBCU Swingman Classic presented by T-Mobile & powered by the MLB-MLBPA Youth Development Foundation at 10:30 p.m. ET:
- The inaugural HBCU Swingman Classic presented by T-Mobile & powered by the MLB-MLBPA Youth Development Foundation will feature some of the best baseball student-athletes from Division-I programs at Historically Black Colleges & Universities. Mariners broadcaster Dave Sims, two-time Mariners All-Star Harold Reynolds, and HBCU Sports Journalist Symone Stanley will call the action, plus Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr. will join the broadcast from each dugout throughout the telecast.
Saturday, July 8:
- MLB Network will re-air the MLB-USA Baseball High School All-American Game at 11 a.m. ET, with MLB Network’s Melanie Newman, MLB Pipeline’s Jonathan Mayo and Mariners analyst Ryan Rowland-Smith on the call from T-Mobile Park.
Sunday, July 9:
2023 MLB Draft presented by Nike at 7 p.m. ET:
- For the 15th consecutive year, MLB Network will produce comprehensive coverage of the MLB Draft presented by Nike. MLB Network will air the first two rounds on Sunday, July 9, beginning live at 7 p.m. ET from Lumen Field inside the Capital One PLAY BALL PARK. MLB Network’s Greg Amsinger, Melanie Newman, Dan O’Dowd, Harold Reynolds, Xavier Scruggs, College World Series winning LSU head baseball coach Jay Johnson, MLB Pipeline’s Jim Callis and Baseball America’s Carlos Collazo will provide pick-by-pick analysis and breakdowns throughout the night. Footage from Club draft rooms, extensive highlight packages, player profiles, and interviews with newly-drafted players and front office personnel will be part of the telecast. Preview coverage will begin at 6 p.m. ET with a one-hour program leading up to the first selection.
- MLB Network will re-air the 2023 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game at 9 a.m. ET, with Dave Sims, Siera Santos, Yonder Alonso and Jonathan Mayo bringing viewers the action.

2 p.m. ET, MLB Tonight: All-Star Media Day – Yonder Alonso, Robert Flores, Adnan Virk and Chris Young welcome MLB’s All-Stars to Seattle.
5 p.m. ET, Intentional Talk presented by Mastercard – Working their first All-Star Game together as Intentional Talk co-hosts, Ryan Dempster, Kevin Millar and Siera Santos set the stage for the T-Mobile Home Run Derby.
6 p.m. ET, MLB Tonight presented by T-Mobile – The biggest stars in the game visit Greg Amsinger, Robert Flores, Yonder Alonso, Ryan Dempster, Pedro Martínez, Albert Pujols and Harold Reynolds on-set from T-Mobile Field.
MLB Tonight will recap the T-Mobile Home Run Derby immediately following its conclusion, plus MLB Network will re-air the 2023 All-Star Celebrity Softball Game presented by Corona at 10 a.m. ET with Robert Flores and Lauren Gardner on the call.

As the second half begins on Friday, July 14, MLB Network will debut the Plays Of The First Half on Thursday, July 13 at 4 p.m. ET, followed by the Best of Statcast In The First Half presented by Google Cloud at 5 p.m. ET. Greg Amsinger, Yonder Alonso and Alex Avila will preview the second half in an all-new MLB Tonight at 6 p.m. ET.
