Profar named recipient of 2018 Richard Durrett Hardest Working Man Award

Arlington, Texas - Texas Rangers infielder Jurickson Profar is the 2018 recipient of the Richard Durrett Hardest Working Man Award, it was announced today.u5:p
The award was instituted in November 2014 by the Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America to honor the memory of Richard Durrett, who covered the Rangers for over a decade with the Dallas Morning News and ESPN.com before his sudden passing on June 17, 2014 at the age of 38. The Durrett Award is presented annually to a player who demonstrates significant improvement over the previous season or seasons through hard work.u5:p
Profar set career highs in nearly every offensive category in 2018, batting .254 with 35 doubles, 6 triples, 20 homers, and 77 RBI in 146 games. He joined Mookie Betts, Alex Bregman, Francisco Lindor, and Jose Ramirez as the only A.L. players to record minimums of 35+ 2B, 20+ HR, 75+ RBI, and 10+ SB in 2018. u5:p
