D-backs recall Matt Koch from Triple-A Reno

PHOENIX - The Arizona Diamondbacks recalled RHP Matt Koch (@mattykoch20) from Triple-A Reno, who will start Friday's game vs. San Diego Padres. Following Thursday's game, the D-backs optioned RHP Silvino Bracho to Reno.
Koch (pronounced: COOK), 27, will be making his second stint with the D-backs this season, having thrown 2.0-scoreless innings with 3 strikeouts on April 7 @ Cardinals. In his lone start for the Aces, he tossed 6.0 shutout innings, allowing 3 hits with 1 strikeout on April 13 @ Fresno.
He has made 9 appearances (2 starts) over parts of 3 seasons with the D-backs (2016-18), going 1-1 with 1 save and a 3.15 ERA (7 ER in 20.0 IP). He entered 2017 rated by Baseball America as possessing the Best Control in the D-backs' system.
In 7 Minor League seasons in the New York Mets and D-backs' organizations, Koch is 30-26 with a 4.54 ERA (255 ER in 505.0 IP) in 123 games (82 starts). He was acquired from the Mets on Aug. 29, 2015 with RHP Miller Diaz for RHP Addison Reed.
