Cleveland Indians announce 2017 schedule

Slate highlighted by six summer weekends at Progressive Field
2017 interleague opponents include Diamondbacks, Reds, Rockies, Dodgers, Padres, Giants
The Cleveland Indians on Wednesday announced the club's 2017 season schedule, the 117th as a charter member of the American League.
The Tribe opens the season on the road on April 3 against the Texas Rangers, while the club's Home Opener is set for Tuesday, April 11 vs. the Chicago White Sox. The home opener begins a six-game homestand that includes a three-game series against the Chicago White Sox (April 11-13) and a three-game series against the Detroit Tigers (April 14-16).
The 2017 season features six big summer weekends with the Tribe at home, including a six-game homestand beginning on the Fourth of July:
Home interleague opponents in 2017 include the Cincinnati Reds (May 24-25), Los Angeles Dodgers (June 13-15), San Diego Padres (July 4-6) and Colorado Rockies (Aug. 8-9). The Indians also will play interleague road games against the Arizona Diamondbacks (April 7-9), the Colorado Rockies (June 6-7) and the San Francisco Giants (July 17-19).
