Braves to celebrate Hank Aaron Week on June 19-23
The Atlanta Braves will celebrate their annual Hank Aaron Week presented by Delta Air Lines beginning on Tuesday, June 19 and continuing through Saturday, June 23 with a calendar packed with activities.
The week begins with a Braves Care community day with Delta Air Lines employees at the Atlanta Braves Baseball Academy at the Villages at Carver Family YMCA on Tuesday, June 19. The annual Supplier Diversity Business Summit in partnership with SunTrust and the Atlanta Tribune will take place on Thursday, June 21 and the Hank Aaron Champion of Justice Award presentation with a special roundtable discussion at the Center for Civil and Human Rights will be on Friday, June 22. New this year will be a pro day/scout showcase and all-star game featuring minority elite players from around Braves Country that will take place on Friday and Saturday.
Recipients of this year's Champion of Justice Awards include, Eric Holder, the first African-American U.S. Attorney General, Carmen Yulin Cruz Soto, the mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico and NBC Sports broadcaster Bob Costas. To attend the awards, please visit www.civilandhumanrights.org to RSVP.

During the Braves games on Friday and Saturday nights versus the Baltimore Orioles, the Braves will wear 1974 throwback uniforms to honor Aaron. Those uniforms will be signed by the players and put up for auction with proceeds going to Aaron's Chasing the Dream Foundation and the Atlanta Braves Foundation. Also during Friday's game, the 50/50 raffle will benefit Somebody Help Us/Alguien Ayudenos in Puerto Rico which will go towards the continued relief efforts for their residents.
Following the Braves game on Saturday, Atlanta's own Big Boi will perform a postgame concert. The concert is included with a game ticket. A limited number of field passes for the concert will be available and can be purchased at www.braves.com/bigboi.
