Angels Acquire RHP Mike Baumann From San Francisco

ANAHEIM – The Angels today acquired RHP Mike Baumann from the San Francisco Giants in exchange for cash considerations.

Baumann, 28, has appeared in 36 games this year between the Orioles, Mariners and Giants, going 3-0 with a 4.84 ERA (35.1 IP – 19 ER) and 33 strikeouts. He was unscored upon in 24 of 36 outings and held right-handed hitters to a .214 (18/84) batting average.

A native of Mahtomedi, MN, Baumann was selected in the third round of the 2017 Draft by Baltimore, and made his Major League debut with the Orioles on Sept. 7, 2021 vs. Kansas City. In 113 career MLB games (four starts), he has compiled a record of 15-5 with a 4.68 ERA (144.1 IP – 75 ER) and 122 strikeouts.
