A's place OF Joyce on DL; Recall OF Martini from Nashville

The Oakland A's have placed outfielder Matt Joyce on the 10-day disabled list retroactive to July 5 due to a lumbar strain, and have recalled outfielder Nick Martini from Triple-A Nashville.
This is Joyce's second stint on the DL with a lumbar strain this season. He first went on the DL from June 3-22, missing 15 games. For the season, Joyce is hitting .203 with a .311 on-base percentage, seven home runs, and 13 RBI in 192 at-bats spanning 63 games.
Martini joins the A's for the third time this season. He went 1-for-10 over his first two stints in the majors, including a game-winning RBI on June 23 against the White Sox in Chicago. He currently has a 65-game on-base streak with Triple-A Nashville, and for the season, he is hitting .308 with a .415 on-base percentage, including six home runs, five steals, 43 runs and 40 RBI in 73 games at the Triple-A level.
