2019 RBI Southwest Regionals results

Teams from the Texas Rangers MLB Youth Academy at Mercy Street Sports Complex, Presented by Toyota, wrapped up play in the RBI Southwest Regionals in Austin today, Saturday, July 20.

After winning both of their games yesterday, the Texas Rangers Academy RBI softball squad earned a spot in Saturday’s Championship Game, where they fell, 8-0, to the defending RBI World Series champion Astros RBI.

On the baseball side, the Rangers Academy RBI 15U team rebounded from an 0-2 day on Friday, opening the day with a 13-3 win over NOLA RBI behind a complete game by Jacob Guerra (2022, Dallas). They advanced to the Third Place Game and defeated RBI Austin, 10-0.

The Rangers Academy RBI 18U team opened 1-1 in play Friday, but dropped both contests Saturday to be eliminated from Championship contention.
