Gurriel day to day with hamstring discomfort

HOUSTON -- The Astros are dealing with another injury to a prominent player after first baseman Yuli Gurriel, one of baseball’s best offensive players since the All-Star break, walked gingerly back to the dugout after legging out an infield grounder in the bottom of the fifth inning of Friday night's 7-4 win over the Mariners.
The Astros announced that Gurriel has left hamstring discomfort and is day to day.
"[There's] not really anything further than what was updated during the game," manager AJ Hinch said. "He’ll get checked out the next couple of days. I doubt he plays."
Gurriel entered Friday’s game hitting .351 since the All-Star break, the second-highest batting average in the American League. He was third with a 1.069 OPS and also had 13 home runs, 18 doubles and 47 RBIs in 48 games before Friday.
His injury comes at a time when shortstop Carlos Correa (back), and relievers Ryan Pressly (knee), Brad Peacock (shoulder) and Collin McHugh (elbow) are on the injured list.
In addition, pitcher Aaron Sanchez is sidelined for the remainder of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery.
