Yogi Berra is getting his own stamp
Yogi Berra received many honors during his long 19-year career -- maybe more than anybody who's ever played the game. He won the AL MVP award three times, he was an All-Star 15 years in a row and he scooped up a record 10 World Series titles. He even won both the AL and NL pennant while managing the Yankees and Mets. Look at this guy. He has a championship ring for each one of his fingers.
And now, five years after he passed away, Yogi is getting yet another distinction. He'll have his very own stamp. The USPS statement reads: "Honoring Yogi Berra (1925-2015), this stamp salutes one of the best and most celebrated baseball players of his era ..."
You can wallpaper your apartment with them, you can paste them all over your favorite Yankees hat or you can, you know, send mail with them. Just remember: Even if it comes with a Yogi stamp -- never answer an anonymous letter.
