LOS ANGELES -- Dodgers reliever Yimi García, who has been at extended spring training in Arizona, will join Triple-A Oklahoma City this week to begin an injury rehabilitation assignment.
The 27-year-old Garcia underwent Tommy John surgery on his right elbow after appearing in only 14 games in 2016 and missed all of last season.
Garcia joins an OKC bullpen that just added right-hander Daniel Hudson, who signed as a free agent last week and debuted with 1 1/3 scoreless innings Tuesday night.
Garcia appeared in six Cactus League games during Spring Training and allowed four runs in 5 2/3 innings.
