PHOENIX -- Three consecutive plate appearances. Three home runs.
Willy Adames looks more than ready for the regular season.
“You always want to have a great feeling going into the season, and I think that’s what today did,” Adames said.
“The last couple of days have been great, hard-working. I’m feeling better and better.”
Adames hit two-run homers in the third, fifth and sixth innings in the Brewers’ 14-4 win over the D-backs on Sunday. The first was deep onto the berm in left field, and he also homered to center twice.

The Brewers finish Cactus League play with two games against Colorado before opening the regular season in Queens against the Mets on March 28. Adames has six homers this spring, five since homering in back-to-back games on March 18-19.
“I’m just trying to get that rhythm right,” Adames said. “I’m obviously not trying to hit homers in Spring Training, just trying to build the rhythm and the timing so you go into the season with that mentality.
“Your mind is comfortable when your body is comfortable and you are in a great place in the box. You are going to do a lot of damage. A majority of the guys, that’s what I feel they look for in Spring Training.”

Adames had 24 homers last season after hitting 31 in his first full season with the Brewers in 2022.
