Team to watch

Triple-A Sugar Land's active roster includes five of Houston's top eight prospects: catcher Korey Lee, right-handers Hunter Brown, Peter Solomon and Shawn Dubin, and shortstop/outfielder Pedro Leon. Space Cowboys left-hander Jonathan Bermudez was the organization's 2021 Minor League Pitcher of the Year after leading the system in ERA (3.24) and K/BB ratio (4.3).

New faces
After coming over in a November trade that sent Garrett Stubbs to the Phillies, outfielder Logan Cerny will make his Astros debut at Single-A Fayetteville. The top prospect in Houston's 2021-22 international class, outfielder Luis Baez will likely break into pro ball this summer in the Rookie-level Florida Complex League.

On the shelf
Once rated as baseball's best pitching prospect, right-hander Forrest Whitley is continuing his rehab from Tommy John surgery in March 2021.
