Team to watch
Of those starting with full-season clubs, there are more Top 30 prospects heading to the California League to play for the Inland Empire 66ers than other club. There are seven total, headlined by 2016 first-round pick Matt Thaiss, and five of the seven are in the club's Top 15. If you want to be patient, there are seven players in extended spring training, with some intriguing talent from the 2016 Draft class (Brandon Marsh, Chris Rodriguez, Nonie Williams and Cole Duensing) all awaiting their assignments.

New faces
The Angels acquired some talent in unusual ways this past offseason. Vicente Campos was a waiver claim, as was Abel De Los Santos. Osmer Morales and former top prospect Manny Banuelos were Minor League free agent signings. All four will get a chance to show what they can do in the upper levels of the Angels' system.
On the shelf
Taylor Ward, the club's top pick from the 2015 Draft, has a mild oblique strain and should return to action later this month. Campos has a right forearm issue. Survance is coming back from last year's Tommy John surgery and should be ready to go in May.
