The Phillies have been red hot of late, catching fire to make up some ground on the first-place Mets in the National League East. The Nationals feature all-world outfielder Juan Soto, who finished second in last year's NL Most Valuable Player voting to Phils slugger -- and former Nats star -- Bryce Harper.

MLB Sunday Leadoff schedule

Play-by-play announcer Jason Benetti will be joined by analysts Kevin Frandsen (Nationals) and Ruben Amaro Jr. (Phillies). Frandsen played for both teams during his nine-year career, while Amaro both played for the Phils and served as their general manager until 2015.

MLB Sunday Leadoff on Peacock debuted on May 8, beginning an 18-week schedule of exclusive MLB contests every Sunday morning. Each week, Benetti will be joined in the booth by local analysts covering the participating teams.

NBC Sports’ Ahmed Fareed hosts the MLB Sunday Leadoff pre- and postgame shows each week, and also serves as the in-game reporter. This Sunday, Fareed will be joined by 11-year MLB veteran and current White Sox analyst Gordon Beckham and Rob Friedman, aka PitchingNinja on Twitter (@PitchingNinja), who will provide pregame pitching breakdowns.

The MLB Sunday Leadoff game each week is the only game scheduled until 1:30 p.m. ET, when the rest of the day’s action will begin. The start time for each MLB Sunday Leadoff game is noon ET for the remainder of the games through Sept. 4.
