The Dodgers own MLB’s best record at 87-38 and are on pace to break their franchise record of 106 wins, which was set in 2019 and matched last season. Mookie Betts recorded his 20th career multihomer game out of the leadoff spot in the series opener Friday night, passing Alfonso Soriano for the most in Major League history. The 29-year-old went deep again on Saturday night to give him 30 this season, then led off Sunday's game with his 31st of the year, one shy of his career high.

After missing 47 games with right elbow tendinitis, Marlins right-hander Edward Cabrera was on a tear entering today's start. In four starts this month, the 24-year-old was 2-0 and hadn't allowed a run over 22 2/3 innings. Cabrera entered with 28 strikeouts and a .110 opponents' batting average.

Former World Series champion Nick Swisher, who had a 12-year MLB career, returns to MLB Sunday Leadoff for the fifth time this season and will serve as this week’s pregame and postgame analyst alongside Fareed. Rob Friedman, aka PitchingNinja on Twitter (@PitchingNinja), will also join the pregame show to provide pitching breakdowns.
