Watch Braves-Rockies today, live on YouTube
The Braves look for their ninth straight victory after sweeping the Mets in New York over the weekend, and their next stop is Denver for a makeup of a game postponed April 10 due to blizzard conditions in Colorado.
Fans can tune in for a unique viewing experience in a broadcast airing live exclusively on YouTube today at 3:10 p.m. ET as Atlanta tries to pad its division lead in the National League East, and Colorado tries to spoil those plans at Coors Field. The MLB Game of the Week Live on YouTube is an MLB Network production and can be viewed for free on MLB’s official YouTube page.
Right-hander Julio Teheran is slated to take the mound for the Braves, and his counterpart is scheduled to be Tim Melville, a journeyman right-hander who was impressive in an emergency start for the Rockies on Wednesday, after Jon Gray was scratched with a fractured foot.
Melville will be making his fifth career start and second with the Rockies, hoping to build off the seven strong innings he pitched against the D-backs in Arizona, in which he gave up one run on two hits.
Teheran is putting together his finest season since an All-Star campaign in 2016. He takes a 3.53 ERA into his 28th start of the season, and he hopes this trip to the Mile High City is better for him than the last, when he gave up six runs over five innings in an 8-6 Atlanta victory on April 8.
One Braves hitter who will be taking aim at the fences in the altitude of Coors Field is Josh Donaldson, who will be looking for his fourth homer in three games after he launched two in Atlanta's 2-1 victory over the Mets on Sunday.
