Pham day to day with right foot contusion

ST. PETERSBURG -- Newly acquired outfielder Tommy Pham left Thursday afternoon's 4-2 win over the Angels prior to the start of the seventh inning with a right foot contusion.
Pham got hit by a pitch on the foot during the Rays' four-run fourth. He was clearly in some discomfort afterward, but he remained in the game and scored on a wild pitch by Angels starter Andrew Heaney. X-rays were negative and Pham is day to day.

Pham played two additional innings in the field before Mallex Smith entered the game in the top of the seventh.
"Tommy Pham is fine," manager Kevin Cash said. "X-rays were negative. We'll go day to day with him. I'll check with him tomorrow and see how sore he is."
The Rays acquired Pham for three Minor Leaguers in a trade with the Cardinals on Tuesday.
