Tigers announce details for 2019 TigerFest
DETROIT -- Winter arrived early in Michigan this year, but a glimpse of spring is in sight. Tickets for TigerFest, the Tigers' annual warm-up event, go on sale at 10 a.m. ET on Friday.
Now in its 24th year, TigerFest returns to Comerica Park on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, giving fans their first look at the roster for the upcoming season. A full list of players attending will be released next month, but the vast majority of the 40-man roster makes the visit, as well as the coaching staff. Several former Tigers will also be on hand to join the current club on the stage for seminars, clinics and question-and-answer sessions with fans, as well as photo stations and autograph tables.
Fans can also explore the Tigers' home clubhouse, which will include a display of baseball artifacts from the team archives, walk through the visiting dugout and take self-guided tours of the Tigers' executive offices, the Ernie Harwell Media Center and a luxury suite. Detroit Tigers Authentics will feature one-of-a-kind signed items and game-used memorabilia, while a collectible sale will benefit the Detroit Tigers Foundation.
The Tigers Kids Zone will feature a kids-only autograph table, a kids stage for player book readings and games, baseball-themed games and activities, free face painting and caricatures.
Fans in attendance will also have the chance to win access to the Chevrolet Social Media Clubhouse, where they can interact with players and share their experience on social media platforms.
Tickets for TigerFest are $30 for adults and $15 for kids 14 and under.
