There are a lot of things one can do to feel more acclimated in a new city. In Los Angeles, where almost half the population is Hispanic or Latino, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, one of those things is pretty straightforward: try picking up some Spanish.
Obviously, that's a lot easier said than done, and it helps to have a friend in that endeavor. To that end (we assume), Teoscar Hernández held an impromptu tutoring session on Wednesday morning with fellow Dodgers newbies Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and if your day was off to a bad start, the extremely wholesome exchange is exactly what you need.
Ohtani, of course, isn't new to the L.A. metro area, having spent his first six Major League seasons with the Angels. Yamamoto, on the other hand, signed his first MLB contract -- that 12-year, $325 million one -- less than two months ago, and received some extra encouragement from the veteran outfielder.
There are a ton of great stories coming out of Dodgers camp in the early going, but let's be honest -- this one's our favorite.
