Deadline comes and goes without Skubal trade

July 30: Skubal remains with Tigers
While the Tigers did move Jack Flaherty, Andrew Chafin and Mark Canha prior to Tuesday's Trade Deadline, Skubal remains in a Detroit uniform. That's not much of a surprise, considering the lefty never seemed particularly likely to be dealt amid swirling rumors over the past few weeks.

Skubal was most often linked to the Orioles, a club with a glut of young talent, but Baltimore ended up acquiring Zach Eflin from the Rays and Trevor Rogers from the Marlins to bolster its rotation.
