San Diego Padres Announce 2024 Schedule

SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Padres released their schedule for the 2024 regular season today featuring a two-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers in Seoul, South Korea to open the 2024 Major League Baseball championship season. The two teams will alternate serving as the home team during the series scheduled for March 20-21, 2024, in what will be the first-ever MLB games played in Korea.

"The Padres are thrilled and honored to play the first-ever MLB games in Korea,” said Padres CEO Erik Greupner. “Korea is a great baseball country with a rich tradition, passionate fans, and talented players, including current Padre and San Diego fan favorite Ha-Seong Kim. The Padres are proud to serve alongside the Dodgers as global ambassadors for the game of baseball with our historic 2024 Korea Series.”

Upon returning from Korea, the Padres will welcome the San Francisco Giants for a four-game Opening Series presented by Sycuan Casino Resort beginning on Opening Day, Thursday, March 28. The opening homestand will conclude with a three-game series against the St. Louis Cardinals from April 1-3.

Home weekends for the Padres in 2024 are highlighted by series against National League West opponents, including two weekend tilts against the Giants, two against the Arizona Diamondbacks, and one weekend series against the Los Angeles Dodgers and Colorado Rockies. The Toronto Blue Jays, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Yankees, Milwaukee Brewers, Atlanta Braves, New York Mets, and Chicago White Sox also pay weekend visits to Petco Park. The Padres will host the Giants at Petco Park on Easter (March 31), the Dodgers on Mother’s Day (May 12), the Miami Marlins on Memorial Day (May 27), and the Detroit Tigers on Labor Day (September 2).

This will mark only the third regular season appearance at Petco Park for the Yankees and their fourth overall in San Diego, and only the third visit to Petco Park for the White Sox. For Interleague road contests, the Padres will visit Kansas City (May 31-June 2), Los Angeles Angels (June 3-5), Boston (June 28-30), Texas (July 2-4), Cleveland (July 19-21), Baltimore (July 26-28), Tampa Bay (August 30-September 1) and Seattle (September 10- 11). The club concludes their 2024 regular season home schedule with a six-game homestand against the Astros (September 16-18) and White Sox (September 20-22).
