Reds-Royals postponed; twin bill Wednesday

KANSAS CITY – The Royals-Reds game scheduled for Tuesday night at Kauffman Stadium has been postponed, because of Covid-19 concerns after a Reds player recently tested positive. The Royals announced in a release that the postponement was "Out of an abundance of caution and to allow for additional testing within the Cincinnati Reds’ organization."

The game will be made up as part of a straight doubleheader on Wednesday at Kauffman Stadium starting at 4:05 p.m. CT.

The Royals’ scheduled starter for Tuesday’s game was right-hander Brad Keller, who likely will start one of the games of the doubleheader. A Royals official said the team has not decided who will start the second game of the doubleheader.
