The Reds’ staffs for their Minor League affiliates have been established.

Their Triple-A outpost, the Louisville Bats, announced Thursday that Pat Kelly will launch his second managerial stint with the club. Kelly began 2018 as Louisville’s manager, but that proved to be an abbreviated role. He was promoted to the Major League staff in April of that year when Reds manager Bryan Price was dismissed and Jim Riggleman stepped in as interim manager. Kelly, who managed Double-A Chattanooga last season, replaces Jody Davis, whose contract was not renewed.

Complementing Kelly will be bench coach Kevin Mahar, pitching coach James Baldwin and hitting coach Leon Durham.

Ricky Gutierrez will jump a classification to manage Double-A. He piloted Class A-Advanced Daytona during the previous two seasons. Gutierrez will be assisted by bench coach Lenny Harris, pitching coach Seth Etherton and hitting coach Daryle Ward.

Former big league infielder Dick Schofield will manage Class A-Advanced Daytona. Entering his eighth season in the Reds organization, Schofield served as Louisville’s bench coach last year. He’ll be joined by bench coach Darren Bragg, pitching coach Tom Brown and hitting coach Alex Pelaez.

Former Reds infielder Travis “Gookie” Dawkins will manage Class A Dayton. Next season will be Dawkins’ sixth as a coach or manager in the Cincinnati organization. He replaced Luis Bolivar, who will remain in the Reds organization in a new role. Bolivar managed the Dragons for the last three seasons (2017-19) and was their hitting coach from ‘14-'16. The rest of the Dragons’ staff also will be new. It includes bench coach Hernan Iribarren, hitting coach Darryl Brinkley and pitching coach Brian Garman.

The Reds announced other additions to their player development staff: Joel Canacoo, short-season strength and conditioning coach; C.J. Gillman, hitting coordinator; Willie Harris, outfield and baserunning coordinator; Eric Jagers, assistant pitching coordinator; Jim Moran, Arizona League coach; Jose Moreno, Arizona League manager; Julio Morillo, coach, rookie-league Billings; Leah Reitmayer, registered dietitian; and Casey Weathers, rehabilitation coach and Arizona League pitching coach.
