According to MLB.com’s Jim Callis, Roa will get a bonus of $1,543,600 – the full slot value for the 48th overall pick.

Roa, 21, was 2-1 with a 5.85 ERA in four starts for Texas A&M in 2020 before the coronavirus pandemic shut down the collegiate season. Over 20 innings, Roa gave up 18 hits, walked nine and struck out 35. In his first two outings, he averaged two strikeouts per inning.
