Reds to play Cards in Mexico on April 13-14

MILWAUKEE -- The Reds and Major League Baseball announced Wednesday that Cincinnati will play a two-game series vs. the Cardinals in Monterrey, Mexico, on April 13-14, 2019.
The Reds will be considered the home team for both regular-season games. While it will be both teams' first time playing in Mexico, the Reds previously played an international three-game series vs. the Expos in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 2003.
Estadio de Beisbol Monterrey will host a total of six games in 2019, with the Rockies and D-backs playing a pair of Spring Training games March 9-10 and the Angels and Astros playing two regular-season games May 4-5. The ballpark is the home of the Sultanes de Monterrey of the Mexican League.
After the series, the Reds will head directly to Los Angeles and play the Dodgers on Jackie Robinson Day April 15, the beginning of a three-game series.
Also announced Wednesday was the complete 2019 schedule with Opening Day slated for Thursday, March 28, when the Reds host the Pirates at 4:10 p.m. ET. On the same day, the 100th edition of Findlay Market Opening Day Parade will be held as part of the celebration.
This season, the Reds' opener and the parade were on separate days because the Easter holiday shopping season prevented Findlay Market's vendors from closing to hold the parade on Opening Day.
For Interleague games in 2019, the Reds will play at Oakland, Cleveland, Anaheim and Seattle. They will host the Rangers, Astros and Angels.
