Cincinnati is likely adding Revere to compete for a spot as a reserve outfielder behind the four-man rotation of Billy Hamilton, Adam Duvall, Scott Schebler and Jesse Winker. He can play all three outfield spots and would likely compete with Phillip Ervin for the fifth outfielder's role.
