Bogaerts, Boston’s longest-tenured player, is having another productive season at the plate.
Entering action on Sunday, Bogaerts led AL shortstops in average, slugging percentage, doubles, hits and extra-base hits. He ranked second wRC+ and fWAR.

Devers has taken his game to another level at the age of 24. The left-handed-hitting masher ranks second in MLB in extra base-hits and RBIs while leading the AL in doubles. Devers leads AL third basemen in hits, runs, homers, slugging percentage, OPS, total bases and wRC+ and is tied for the lead in fWAR.
“It would feel great,” said Devers of possibly becoming an All-Star. “Obviously that’s something that every player wants to be some day. Obviously be a starter in the All-Star Game, that’s what they call it. It’s an All-Star Game. It would be very special if I was able to be the starting third baseman for that game.”

Martinez hasn’t been able to maintain his sizzling start to the season, but he’s been very solid. Heading into Sunday's action, he ranked in the top 20 in the AL in batting average (8th, .301), OBP (19th, .360), SLG (12th, .534), OPS (13th, .894), runs (T-8th, 50), hits (8th, 84), doubles (T-5th, 19), XBH (T-9th, 35), and total bases (T-9th, 149).
And he’s been excellent with runners in scoring position (.343, 1.044 OPS) and even better with runners in scoring position and two outs (.423 average, 1.430 OPS).

Then there is Verdugo, who just grinds it out every day on both sides of the ball.
Boston’s No. 2 hitter started Sunday tied for third in the AL in multihit games. He is tied for fourth among AL outfielders in hits, tied for third in runs, is eighth in average and has the fourth-lowest strikeout percentage among the group. His 24 opposite-field hits lead the Red Sox.
