Rangers-Yankees rained out; single-admission DH today
The New York Yankees have announced that tonight’s Yankees-Rangers game (Friday, August 9) will not be played due to the forecast of sustained inclement weather.
The game will be made up as the second game of a single-admission doubleheader tomorrow, Saturday, August 10. The first game will begin as originally scheduled at 1:05 p.m. The second game will start approximately 30 minutes after the first game ends.
Tickets for tonight’s game (Friday, August 9) will not be valid for the Saturday, August 10, single-admission doubleheader.
Fans with paid tickets for tonight’s game (Friday, August 9) may exchange them for tickets to a similar regular season game at Yankee Stadium (subject to availability) as described in the Yankees’ rain check policy, which may be found at www.yankees.com/raincheck. Tickets can be exchanged online only and cannot be exchanged in-person at the Yankee Stadium Ticket Office.
Please note that the distribution of tonight’s “Juan Soto MGCT Collectible Figurine” promotional item (for the first 18,000 Guests) will be rescheduled for Friday, August 23, when the Yankees face the Colorado Rockies.
Complimentary (COMP) tickets and tickets obtained via the Commissioner’s Initiative for Kids for tonight’s game (Friday, August 9) are not valid for any future games. COMP tickets or equivalent tickets bear no cash value and do not have any additional benefits that may be offered to ticket(s) with a dollar value.
On Saturday, all Yankee Stadium Gates will open to fans with valid tickets at 11:30 a.m., at which time distribution will begin for the August 10 scheduled promotional item (Yankees Camo Cap presented by Budweiser to the 1st 18,000 Guests 21-and-older in attendance).
Both games of Saturday’s doubleheader vs. the Rangers will be broadcast by the YES Network.
