TORONTO -- Triple-A third baseman Joey Gallo, the Rangers' No. 1 prospect, had an MRI on Tuesday and is expected to miss three to four weeks with a Grade 1 strain of his left groin.
Gallo experienced a similar issue in 2013 on the right side.
The 22-year-old slugger was hitting .254 with seven home runs, 16 RBIs and a 1.042 OPS in 20 games for Round Rock before sustaining the injury on April 30.
