Rangers to unveil City Connect uniforms on April 17
ARLINGTON -- The Rangers are set to unveil their City Connect uniforms at Globe Life Field and around the Metroplex through a series of promotions and events next week.
The uniforms will officially be unveiled on Monday, April 17, and the Texas Rangers Grand Slam Team Store is set to open at 9 a.m. CT that day to give fans an exclusive opportunity to buy them in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The club will debut the uniform on-field on April 21-22 against the Athletics. They will be worn for every Friday home game afterwards.
The Nike MLB City Connect Series launched in 2021 and was formed to celebrate the connection between the specific club and its city. The Rangers are one of six MLB teams to debut uniforms in 2023.
The Rangers ballpark promotions will include a commemorative City Connect Program giveaway, and the first 15,000 will collect the City Connect-themed Marcus Semien bobblehead giveaway on April 21. The Semien bobblehead is the first of a three-part City Connect bobblehead series also featuring Corey Seager on Friday, May 19 and Jacob deGrom on Friday, June 16.
Additionally, as part of the Rangers Poster Series, a City Connect edition poster designed by DFW artist Chris Perez will be available for purchase at the Authentics kiosk behind section 134.
On April 22, the first 30,000 fans will also take home the commemorative City Connect Program giveaway and the first 10,000 fans will receive the Arlington Stadium Replica giveaway.
In addition to events and giveaways at Globe Life Field, the Rangers will be hosting two City Connect launch party events at art venues in both Dallas and Fort Worth.
From 4–10 p.m. CT on April 21, the event will be at ArtPark Trinity Groves (331 Singleton Blvd., Dallas). The City Connect collection will be available for purchase and National Baseball Hall of Famer Ivan Rodriguez will be on hand for the special event from 6-7 p.m.
On April 22, the launch party moves to the Main Street Fort Worth Arts Festival (Corner of Main Street and E 2nd Street, Fort Worth) from 10 a.m.- 9 p.m. Like in Dallas, the City Connect collection will be available for purchase and Rodriguez will be present from 6-7 p.m.
