Rangers-Blue Jays PPD Sat.; Sun. twin bill set

Saturday's Rangers-Blue Jays game has been postponed due to rain in the Buffalo, N.Y., area over the last 24 hours. The game will be made up as part of a straight doubleheader on Sunday, July 18, at Sahlen Field.

Game 1 will take place at 1:07 pm ET and game 2 will begin approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.

Toronto will use Hyun Jin Ryu (initially scheduled to pitch Saturday) in Game 1, followed by Steven Matz in Game 2. Texas will counter with Kolby Allard and Mike Foltynewicz, in that order.

The Rangers will use reliever Demarcus Evans as their 27th man. The righty is expected to arrive in Buffalo on Saturday night and will be available for both games. The Blue Jays have not yet announced their 27th man.

The Blue Jays will be the home team for both games. Those who purchased tickets for Saturday's game through the Blue Jays will be automatically refunded to the original payment method; a credit should appear in as soon as 30 days. Tickets for Saturday’s game will not be valid for either game of Sunday’s doubleheader.
