PITTSBURGH -- The Reds will turn to another starter for Sunday's series finale against the Pirates at PNC Park, as right-hander Raisel Iglesias will miss his scheduled outing with inflammation in his shoulder.
"We have to make a decision; he's obviously not going to start Sunday," manager Bryan Price said after Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Pirates. "We'll try to make a decision on how much time he will miss. We don't believe that it's considered something that will require any intrusive procedures. Surgery has been ruled out at this time. It's just some inflammation, and we hope we are able to knock it out here quickly."
Triple-A Louisville right-hander Tim Adleman was scratched from his scheduled start on Saturday, and he will be called up to make the start -- his Major League debut -- in Iglesias' place.
Iglesias' first five starts yielded mixed results. His 3.49 ERA is impressive, but opponents are hitting .296 against him, with four homers in 115 at-bats.
Adleman, 28, is 2-0 with a 4.24 ERA in three starts this season for Louisville. He was 9-10 with a 2.64 ERA for Double-A Pensacola last season.
