Rain delays start of Yankees-O's in Baltimore
BALTIMORE -- The start of Tuesday night's Yankees-Orioles game at Camden Yards was delayed due to inclement weather. The rain started around 6:15 p.m. ET with various intensity, and an announcement on the Jumbotron indicated that fans should relocate to seated areas due to lightning in the area. About an hour and a half into the delay, the grounds crew began to take off the tarp, and an estimated first pitch of 9:15 was announced.
The Jeremy Hellickson-CC Sabathia matchup was originally slated for a 7:05 p.m. start, but storms threatened the Baltimore area for most of the evening.
It marked the 18th rain delay at home for the Orioles this season.
