Phillies Spring Training FAQs, important dates
CLEARWATER, Fla. -- New skipper Joe Girardi will save his big speech for Monday, when the Phillies have their first full-squad workout at Carpenter Complex.
But he will speak to his pitchers and catchers before their first workout on Wednesday.
“This is a time of preparation,” Girardi said on Tuesday morning at Spectrum Field. “It’s a time of competition, too, but the competition does not start tomorrow. It’s a chance for the players to get in shape and prepare to compete.”
