Phillies reveal Opening Week plans for A's, Mets series
National League MVP Bryce Harper and the 2022 Phillies will kick off their season at home during Opening Week at Citizens Bank Park, where they will take on the Oakland Athletics (April 8-10) and New York Mets (April 11-13).
“We are excited to celebrate the start of the season with a terrific lineup of fan events, beginning with Nemours Opening Day featuring a Phillies fleece headband giveaway on Friday, April 8, at 3:05 p.m.,” said Phillies Senior Vice President of Ticket Operations & Projects John Weber. “The festivities continue on Saturday, April 9, as we host a special pregame ceremony to recognize Bryce Harper for being the 2021 National League Most Valuable Player, with a McDonald’s Opening Night MV3 T-shirt for fans 15 and over. The weekend concludes with the fun-filled Cavity Busters Kids Opening Day on Sunday, April 10, with a Phillies windbreaker for children 14 and under.”
The homestand concludes with a three-game series against the New York Mets on Monday, April 11, and Tuesday, April 12, both at 6:45 p.m., and Wednesday, April 13, at 1:05 p.m.
Several exciting weekend matchups are also featured in the Phillies’ early schedule such as the New York Mets on May 5-8, Los Angeles Dodgers on May 20-22, and Los Angeles Angels on June 3-5, with the reigning American League MVP Shohei Ohtani and three-time AL MVP Mike Trout making a visit to Citizens Bank Park.
Adding to the ballpark experience is the 2022 promotional schedule. Highlights include:
· The return of Hatfield Phillies Franks Dollar Dog Nights for all fans (Tuesday, April 26 vs. Colorado Rockies and Tuesday, May 3 vs. Texas Rangers).
· Player-themed giveaways, including the Toyota Bryce Harper Bobble Figurine for all fans (Friday, June 10 vs. Arizona Diamondbacks), as well as a PECO Zack Wheeler Replica Jersey (Sunday, July 24 vs. Chicago Cubs) and J.T. Realmuto Back-to-School Cooler Bag presented by Fante’s Plumbing, Heating & Air (Sunday, August 28 vs. Pittsburgh Pirates), both for children 14 years and under.
The Phillies Postgame Concert Series presented by Jim Beam, featuring The Avett Brothers (Saturday, June 11 vs. Diamondbacks), Jake Owen (Saturday, July 23 vs. Chicago Cubs), and an I Love the 90s Postgame Concert with Vanilla Ice, Tone Loc, Rob Base and DJ Jazzy Jeff (Friday, August 19 vs. New York Mets).
Special events such as the ultimate Xfinity Fireworks Shows (Friday, July 1 and Sunday, July 3 vs. St. Louis Cardinals).
Festivities and giveaways in celebration of iconic moments in Phillies history during the team’s annual Toyota Phillies Alumni Weekend (August 5-7 vs. Washington Nationals), with more details to be announced in the coming weeks.

Phillies Spring Training tickets are now on sale at phillies.com, which also has the most up-to-date schedule. This will be the team’s 75th anniversary of playing spring training baseball in Clearwater, Fla., with their Grapefruit League home opener set for Saturday, March 19, against the Toronto Blue Jays at 1:05 p.m. at BayCare Ballpark.
In addition, fans are invited to attend the free St. Patrick’s Day presented by BayCare Ballpark on Thursday, March 17, from 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
