The Phillies will be busy during the break, with many of their standout players in Arlington for the All-Star Game.

Philadelphia has made history by sending a franchise-record seven players to this year’s All-Star Game. Alec Bohm, Bryce Harper, Jeff Hoffman, Matt Strahm, Ranger Suárez, Trea Turner and Zack Wheeler were selected to represent the NL.

This year’s group is two more than the Phillies’ previous record of five All-Stars, which they have sent six times, most recently in 2011.

As a result, the Phillies’ faithful have plenty of reasons to care about the All-Star festivities. A Philadelphia-led National League squad opened as a slight betting underdog to the American League, per the odds at the BetMGM online sportsbook.

The NL is +100 to win this year’s All-Star Game, meaning they have an implied probability of 50% to emerge victorious. The AL is a -120 favorite.

In 2023, the NL earned a 3-2 victory to snap a nine-game win streak for the AL that began in 2013.

However, that's not the only All-Star activity involving the Phillies.

Bohm, who has 11 homers on the season, participated in the Home Run Derby on Monday. While Bohm has the longest price in the eight-person field, his odds have moved the most since the market first opened.

At BetMGM, Bohm has gone from +2500 to +1600 of winning this year’s Home Run Derby. His latest odds give him an implied probability of 5.88% to win the event.
