Nuno up, Verrett down as O's make move

The Orioles recalled left-handed pitcher Vidal Nuño from Triple-A Norfolk and optioned right-hander Logan Verrett to Norfolk, the club announced Wednesday.
Nuno, 29, has allowed eight earned runs in 11 innings for the O's this season. The lefty pitched in 55 games for the Mariners in 2016, going 1-1 with a 3.53 ERA.
Verrett threw three scoreless innings Tuesday evening in an extra-inning win over the Nationals. The 26-year-old is 2-0 in two games for Baltimore this season without allowing a run in five innings of work. Verrett went 3-8 with a 5.20 ERA in 35 games (12 starts) for the Mets in 2016.
