Gausman, Arenado named Players of the Week

Cardinals third baseman Nolan Arenado and Blue Jays right-hander Kevin Gausman have been named the Players of the Week presented by Chevrolet.

As for Gausman, this marks his first Player of the Week Award. He took home AL honors after tossing a pair of scoreless outings, including eight innings of one-hit ball with 10 strikeouts against the Rays on Tuesday.

Gausman fanned 15 batters in all last week and gave up just seven hits and one walk over 14 innings, lowering his ERA to 2.91 on the year.
