A year ago, the Yankees had the No. 2-rated farm system. Since then, they've graduated American League Rookie of the Year Aaron Judge to the big leagues, along with Jordan Montgomery, Chad Green, Jonathan Holder, Clint Frazier and Tyler Wade. They've also traded a slew of prospects -- including Jorge Mateo, Blake Rutherford, Dustin Fowler, James Kaprielian, Jorge Guzman, Nick Solak, Taylor Widener, Ian Clarkin and Zack Littell -- to acquire National League MVP Giancarlo Stanton and other veterans such as Sonny Gray, David Robertson and Brandon Drury.

After all those departures, New York's system has dropped … but only to No. 6 in MLB Pipeline's latest rankings. That's a tribute to what may be the best depth in baseball, especially in terms of right-handed pitching. The Yankees' international program keeps cranking out righty after righty with electric arms, starting with Luis Medina, Freicer Perez, Domingo Acevedo.

New York also has found talented position players such as outfielder Estevan Florial, third baseman Miguel Andújar and shortstop Thairo Estrada on the international market. When the Yankees were reloading rather than contending in 2016, GM Brian Cashman swung trades that brought in Top 100 ProspectsGleyber Torres, Justus Sheffield and Albert Abreu. While there aren't many open roster spots in New York for 2018, Torres, Andujar and righties Chance Adams, Cody Carroll, Domingo Germán and Giovanny Gallegos are ready to contribute as needed.
