Nats, first-round Draft pick Kieboom agree

WASHINGTON -- A few days after the MLB Draft ended, the Nationals were able to agree to terms with infielder Carter Kieboom, who was the 28th overall pick. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
The Nationals have not confirmed the signing.
According to the source, Kieboom took his physical on Monday and will go to the team's Spring Training complex in a couple of days. He was seen at Nationals Park on Monday and watched the Nationals take batting practice. Kieboom did not talk to the media, which was told that he was not available for comment.

Kieboom is the younger brother of Spencer Kieboom, a catcher ranked as the Nats' No. 21 prospect by MLBPipeline.com.
Carter Kieboom, who is from Marietta, Ga., was a compensation pick for right-hander Jordan Zimmermann, who signed with the Tigers this past offseason. Kieboom is a right-handed hitter who is known to be an above average defender at shortstop. Most importantly, he could become a power hitter in the future. According to assistant general manager Kris Kline, the Nats don't see him switching to another position.
