Join the Nationals for Opening Day hype event

In anticipation of Opening Day, the Washington Nationals and Major League Baseball are hosting a “Road to Opening Day” event at Girard Street Park on Wednesday.

As part of MLB’s league-wide “Enjoy The Show” campaign, which is all about celebrating the various ways fans can enjoy baseball, this event will award fans with free collectibles, ballpark-themed snacks, a chance to rub elbows with baseball greats and team mascots, and other surprises.

The Nationals’ “Road to Opening Day” event is scheduled to take place from 3-6 p.m. ET on Wednesday. It will be held at the park located at 1450 Girard St. NW in Washington. If inclement weather is in the forecast, a decision to either move forward or postpone the event will come two hours before the scheduled start time.

The Nats will begin their 2022 regular season on Thursday vs. the New York Mets. First pitch from Nationals Park is slated for 4:05 p.m.
