Detroit's Miguel Cabrera and Cameron Maybin have been named American League Co-Players of the Week after leading the Tigers to a 5-1 record last week.
Maybin, who made his season debut on May 16 after recovering from left wrist and right shoulder injuries, hit .600/.652/.750 with one home run, five RBIs and four stolen bases in his first six games in his second stint with the Tigers.

Maybin began his career with the Tigers as a 20-year-old prospect in 2007, but he was one of several players traded to the Marlins for Cabrera. Now 29 and in his 10th Major League season, he's added a spark to a Detroit club looking to climb out of fourth place in the AL Central.
"I think it's a little different now playing with [Maybin] than when I did, gosh, nine years ago," right-hander Justin Verlander said. "He's established himself a bit more. I think he feels more comfortable around the clubhouse. He feels more comfortable expressing his opinions, going up to whoever and saying, 'Let's go.' I think he's added a great spark to this team."
Cabrera, who garnered his 14th weekly award, continues to be one of the game's most dominant hitters. He hit .500/.538/1.000 with three homers and six RBIs last week.
He was 3-for-3 with a homer on Sunday before exiting the series finale against the Rays with a bruise on his left knee, and he is listed as day to day heading into Monday's series opener against the Phillies.
"He got hit right on a nerve, and it sent a little pain from his knee down his leg," manager Brad Ausmus said after the game.
