A's send Muncy to Triple-A

The A's outrighted infielder/outfielder Max Muncy to Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday after previously designating him for assignment following the signing Rajai Davis.
Muncy will be a non-roster invitee to big league Spring Training.
Muncy hit .186 in 51 games over three stints with Oakland in 2016, starting 19 games at second base, 13 in right field and one at third base. He hit .251 with 26 RBIs in 64 games with Nashville last season.
Muncy, 26, was the club's fifth-round pick in the 2012 Draft and is a .career 268/.375/.425 hitter in the Minor Leagues.
