The Marlins have signed veteran right-hander Jeremy Guthrie, pending a physical, a source confirmed to MLB.com on Monday.
Guthrie will report to Triple-A New Orleans upon completion of the physical.
The deal was first reported by Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal.
The 37-year-old Guthrie was released by the Padres on June 3 after signing a Minor League contract on April 1. That deal came after Guthrie failed to break Spring Training with the Rangers on another Minor League pact.
Guthrie has yet to appear in the Majors this season after going 8-8 with a 5.95 ERA in 30 games (24 starts) for the Royals in 2015.
He is 91-108 with a 4.37 ERA in 12 Major League seasons with the Indians, Orioles, Rockies and Royals.
