Statement from Bruce Sherman, Marlins chairman & principal owner

To our Marlins fans --

I am excited to celebrate with you that BASEBALL IS BACK! We are appreciative that Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association have reached a deal that ensures a full 162-game season in 2022 and is good for our fans, players, and the game of Baseball.

Thank you for your patience and your support during this process. We will share any details as we receive them from Major League Baseball about Spring Training and our rescheduled first homestand.

This is shaping up to be an exciting year for the Marlins. Our organization is working hard to finalize our roster as we battle the NL East with one of the best young rotations in the game and an electric lineup. I hope you are just as excited as I am to see what the future holds as we continue our progress toward sustained success and a return to the postseason.

We cannot wait to gather together with our great fans at loanDepot park at our Home Opener on Thursday, April 14, and throughout the upcoming season. We will not stop working hard to make you proud of your hometown team.
