After being the first team to offer COVID-19 vaccinations during games, the Mariners have opened vaccination-only sections and will offer exclusive rewards to vaccinated fans who attend games at T-Mobile Park.

Mariners chairman and managing partner John Stanton announced Tuesday that the team had plans in place for vaccinated fans.

“Getting vaccinated is the single most important thing we can all do to protect ourselves, our families and our community. Encouraging vaccinations and helping make them accessible to everyone will save lives,” Stanton said.

This plan allows fans who are fully vaccinated to purchase tickets as low as $10 and receive special rewards exclusive to fans with proof of full vaccination. Special sections are on sale for games held May 13-June 2.

Further details:

• Seats are located in the Center Field Bleachers for all games. For select games, seats will be in Sections 306-310 in Right Field View Level and Sections 149-151 on the Main Level.

• Capacity of 5,000 in special sections. (Capacity is in addition to the 9,000 currently allowed)

• Nine private suites are available at full capacity for fully vaccinated guests. (14-26 guests)

• Vaccination-only sections are available to fully vaccinated adults and children between the ages of 2-15. (Proof of a negative COVID-19 test is an acceptable substitution for anyone 2-15 years old.)

Within the sections, social distancing is not enforced; however, masks are still required when not actively eating or drinking in your assigned seat.

For those who purchase tickets but are not located in the special sections, there are still benefits to being a fully vaccinated guest. As long as fans can show proof that they are fully vaccinated, they will have access to several exclusive amenities within the ballpark.

Included in those amenities are vaccine-only entry lanes to the right- and left-field gates and exclusive access to the T-Mobile Pen, which has been closed due to social distancing requirements. Along with that access, fans also receive an exclusive Mariners #SeaUsRise T-shirt and 20% off merchandise at the Mariners Team store, as well as food and drink purchases. All fully vaccinated fans will be able to take advantage of these rewards until May 19.

Being fully vaccinated is defined as being at least 14 days past the final dose of a two-dose vaccine or the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine. As for proof of vaccination, fans can bring their vaccination card, photo of said card or documentation of vaccination from a health care provider’s electronic health record or state Immunization Information System record.

Stanton and the Mariners have made it their mission to encourage and help fans to reach a sense of normalcy while enjoying America’s pastime. The Mariners partnered with the City of Seattle and Virginia Mason Franciscan Health to bring vaccinations to games and the team is continuing to work on creative ways to encourage fans to get vaccinated. Currently in Seattle, outdoor venues allow for 50% capacity for people that can show that they have been vaccinated.

In a press release shared Friday, the Mariners stated that more announcements will be made in the coming days about using their partnerships with businesses across Seattle to use Mariners games as “a platform to incentivize vaccination.”

“Once enough people are vaccinated, we can all get back to the things we love to do, like sitting with family and friends and enjoying a night at the ballpark,” said Stanton.
