Nov. 11: Marlins hire McCullough as manager
The Marlins have hired Dodgers first-base coach Clayton McCullough to be the 17th manager in franchise history.

McCullough, who turns 45 on Dec. 27, recently capped his 10th year in the Dodgers' organization with a World Series championship. He had spent the past four seasons as first-base coach, primarily in charge of finding tendencies to run on, and was a member of the 2021 National League All-Star coaching staff. More >

Nov. 8: Yankees pick up Boone's option for 2025
The Yankees announced that they have exercised their 2025 club option for manager Aaron Boone.

It was an expected move after Boone led the Yankees to their 41st American League pennant and their first World Series appearance since 2009 this past season. Boone has compiled a career 603-429 (.584) managerial record and has led the Yankees to a postseason berth in six of his first seven seasons at the helm (2018-22, ‘24). More >

Oct. 31: White Sox tab Venable as manager
Will Venable is the new manager of the Chicago White Sox, per an announcement from the team on Thursday. Venable, who turned 42 years old on Tuesday, spent the past two seasons with the Rangers as the associate manager to Bruce Bochy. More >

Oct. 4: Reds name Francona manager
The Reds named Terry Francona as their new manager on Friday. The 65-year-old has agreed to a three-year contract through the 2027 season, with a club option for 2028.

Francona, who stepped down as Guardians manager after the 2023 season, returns to the dugout having managed three teams over a 23-year career. He has a 1,950-1,672 record with the Phillies (1997-2000), Red Sox (2004-2011) and Guardians (2013-2023). He led the Red Sox to World Series titles in 2004 and 2007.
