Perdomo, Crew agree to Minors deal (source)

Right-hander Luis Perdomo has agreed to a Minor League deal with the Brewers, a source told MLB.com's Jesse Sanchez on Wednesday night.

The 27-year-old Perdomo is expected to miss the entire 2021 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery in October. He was released by the Padres and cleared waivers last month.

Though he showed flashes during his five-year run with San Diego, Perdomo has a 5.19 ERA over 133 career appearances (61 starts), including a 5.71 mark in 10 outings (one start) in 2020. He had an encouraging start to the 2019 season after initially transitioning to the bullpen, posting a 2.32 ERA in his first 20 appearances, while not allowing an earned run in 17 of those outings.
