In another close game Tuesday, the Tigres del Licey defeated the Estrellas Orientales, 3-1, at Estadio Quisqueya Juan Marichal in Santo Domingo to take a commanding 3-1 series lead in the best-of-seven Dominican Winter League finals.

The Tigres are now one win away from taking home their 23rd LIDOM championship, which would set a new league record, breaking a tie with the Aguilas Cibaenas.

The night's star was undoubtedly Tigres catcher Jorge Alfaro, who led the charge with a first-inning home run against Estrellas starter Edwin Uceta, later adding an RBI double to his line in the fifth.

Tigres starter Brooks Hall, a former fourth-round pick by the Brewers in 2009, threw five strong innings, surrendering one run on three hits, tallying six strikeouts against one walk. Hall's performance was just the latest to stifle a powerful lineup -- the Estrellas have scored just four runs across their last three games after taking Game 1 of the series, 5-2.

The Estrellas' only run in Game 4 came courtesy of Lewin Díaz, who doubled against Hall to score Robinson Canó in the fifth.
